CSRS:

• 5 years service needed.
• “Earned” annuity by CSRS formula.
• Under 60? Get a guaranteed minimum: either 40% of high-3 average or regular annuity adjusted to 60th birthday.

FERS:

• 18 months service for any injury/sickness.
• Year 1: 60% salary minus full Social Security.
• Year 2: 40% salary minus 60% Social Security.

OWCP/DOL:

• Injury/illness can be off-duty.
• Pick FERS/CSRS annuity or DOL benefits.
• DOL: 75% with dependents, 66% without. Tax-free.
